Who They Serve: Primarily women entrepreneurs, but open to any person who has an established business or would like to start a new business. Special consideration is given to women and minorities. Serves 25 predominantly rural counties located in Southeast Tennessee, North Georgia and Southwest North Carolina.
What They Do: Individual and group business counseling, training courses covering various topics relevant to starting and growing your business, and access to U.S. Small Business Administration programs and services such as lending.
Minimum Loan: $10,000; loans up to $1.3 million.
Requirements for Program: Job creation, borrower equity investment. Bank participation for varying portions of loans, depending on program utilized.
Length of Program: Up to 20 years.
Loan Volume: 5-10 deals per year that are a direct result of inquiries to the Women’s Business Center.
Fee for Program: Varies depending on loan product(s) provided. |
