The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce is happy to receive your request for information about scheduling a groundbreaking, grand opening or ribbon cutting ceremony. We are always delighted to help member businesses celebrate these milestones. Your achievement is a contribution to the economic development of Chattanooga, and economic development is a top priority for the Chamber.

Several years ago, the Chamber established a group of business representatives, the Ambassadors, to help us better serve our members. Among other services, this group assists with ribbon cuttings and other events that help promote our members. The Ambassadors are available to mark occasions for members Monday through Friday. Their employers support the Chamber by allowing this group of volunteers to take time out of their business day to attend these events.

We ask that you please give us at least one month notice of your event, so we can make arrangements with the Ambassadors and our staff. Once the attached event agreement form is returned, the Chamber forwards the information to the offices of the City and County Mayors, City and County Commissioners and to the presidents of the Chamber’s Area Councils.

The Chamber will be happy to prepare and distribute a press release about your event, once you have completed and returned the attached form. We will provide you with one copy to review prior to distribution.

The Chamber will bring ribbon and scissors for ribbon cuttings. Please provide hard hats and shovels for groundbreakings.
